What we Do.
The cities we value are full of complexity, diversity and contradiction. They offer spaces to engage and areas to explore and discover. They are adventurous places.
These are the sources of creativity, innovation and an evolving, responsible urban society.
The digital transformation has its impact on our spatial environment. It changes how we work, live, move, produce and consume.
MakeMunichWeird is a call to activate spaces and foster diversity, innovation and a livable Munich.
There are potentials everywhere, in buildings, areas and voids.
It is a call for urban interventions, to push projects forward, and Munich on the map of the Creative Class.
To make it different, unplanned, divergent, edgy, vibrant. And future-proof.
Who We Need.
We challenge a city falling asleep. As an evolving initiative, we want to raise the awareness for the ‚weird‘. We want to connect with You, and design this initiative while we go.
We motivate for action, and to leverage the creative mind of urban Munich.
@students: activate your facilities.
@enterprises: open up for new ways of work.
@institutions: embrace the digital.
@society: hack the spaces outside the comfort zones.
We research and discuss through action. We confront, hack and test with urban interventions.
We collaborate, create and prototype in interdisciplinary design labs.
We develop with institutions transformative strategies for urban environments.
What is the plan? There is no plan, there is only DO.
